Frank Wright

Founder of Wright & Co., Creator of FEPLI

Founder of Starr Wright USA (originally called Wright & Co.) Frank Wright was an insurance expert in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area. Working in such proximity with so many federal government employees, Wright noticed the inherent liability risks that arose from so many careers in public service. To address this unmet need, Wright founded a new insurance agency – Wright & Co. – and with it, created FEPLI; a whole new specialized insurance.

Mr. Wright served in the Army during World War II. He also co-founded the Frank & Betty Wright Foundation in Alexandria, VA, to support local cultural, educational, and historical efforts.

Starr Companies

In 1919, a young American entrepreneur named Cornelius Vander Starr founded the insurance agency that would eventually become Starr Companies. Over 100 years later, his legacy stands strong.

Now under the leadership of industry icon Maurice R. Greenberg, Starr Companies is one of the largest and fastest-growing insurance companies in the world. Starr serves the insurance needs of individuals and virtually every kind of business, from small-and middle-market to the Fortune 1000.
